Vehicle Condition Upon Delivery
Upon receipt of the car the Renter checked it mechanically, test drove it and found that it was in excellent condition on commencement of the lease.
Operating Costs
The Renter is obliged to pay all the costs for the operation of the leased car, f.e. the purchase of petrol.
Rental Period & Late Return Penalties
The Renter is obliged to pay the fee for the entire period, regardless if the car was in use or not. Implied prolongation of lease is possible only by contacting the rental station within 48 hours before the expiration time to obtain permission for the additional rental period, which can be arranged verbally or written. Otherwise the Renter is obliged to pay the daily rental fee with an additional 50% for every day after the
expiry date as a penalty fee.
Responsibility & Legal Liability
The Renter with his signature of his witness received in his possession for use the mentioned rental car, and is responsible from herein after for every damage occuring to the car and to the passengers or things being transported. From the effective date of lease till the date the Renter returns the car to the lender, he is considered owner of the car. He must use his name during this period and must obey to all laws and police declarations, and is held fully responsible for any laws that are infringed upon in Greece. The Renter agrees to pay all tickets and court expenses relating to illegal parking tickets or other offenses of the Traffic Codes.
Insurance Coverage – Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
The car has coverage of a Collision Damage Waiver rental insurance (CDW) with the excess/deductible of 500 €.
Authorized Driver & Prohibited Use
Only the person who signed this rental Agreement is allowed to drive the car, which is prohibited to be used:
A) for leasing purposes
B) for towing or pushing another vehicle
C) for transporting passengers over the permitted amount
D) on damaged roads
E) under influence of alcohol and other substances impairing the consciousness or ability to react
F) out of Milos without the advanced authorization of the Rental Station
Accident, Fire or Theft Procedures
In case of any accident or other incident (fire, theft, etc.) the Renter has to contact immediately the police and the Rental Station.
Loss or Damage of the Vehicle
In case of loss or damage of the car the Renter has to pay to the Rental Station the amount of all resulting losses and expenses.
Towing & Repair Period Charges
The renter agrees that in case of damage he will pay the towing fee, and he is obliged to pay also the rental fee of the whole period which is required for repairing the car.
Luggage & Personal Property
Luggage insurance is not available. The Renter is responsible for any loss or damage of property of the passengers.
Personal Insurance Exclusions
The Renter and the passengers of the rented car are not covered by the insurance.
Underside, Tires & Wheels Damage
Damages caused at the underneath part of the car and at tires or wheels have to be paid by the Renter.
Financial Responsibility Declaration
The Renter with his signature declares that he is financially able to cover all caused damages of the car, if the given deposit does not cover the expense of damage.
Authorized Repair Facilities
In case of damage the repair offer is accepted only by the car dealership or the workshop with which the Rental Station collaborates.
Applicable Law & Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by Greek Law. Any dispute arising between the Rental Company and the Renter under this agreement, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Piraeus.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation made more than 30 days before the day of pick-up are Free of charge (100% refund).
Cancellation made 15–30 days before the day of pick-up are subject to 50% refund.
Cancellation made less than 15 days before the day of pick-up are non-refundable (Νο refund).
